A: The first step is to join

Q: What is VMploy?
A: VMploy is "Your Visual Employment Community". It
is an online community of everybody that has anything to do with employment.
You can add visual elements if you want to have the best chance of being
noticed. You can also make yourself very visible by posting on forums,
advertising, text chatting, video chatting, and e-mailing other members.
VMploy is about Networking and we provide you with all the tools you need

Q: How do I get a job fast?
A: Follow the steps in the "Getting Started" section of the VMploy
Library. Quite simply, if you use all of the tools available
as a VMploy member, the only thing that limits your ability to find a job
fast, is the effort you put into it. As an active VMploy member you
have a big advantage over candidates that use a text resume only strategy
to find a job.
Q: I'm nervous. What should I do?
A: Practice, practice, and more practice. With VMploy you
can network and make friends and contacts that will give you feedback.
Practice video chatting and text chatting with other community members.
Even if you are not looking for a job you will improve your communication
skills and make new contacts. This is your most valuable tool in
the job market.
Q: I don't have a Web Cam. Can I still benefit from VMploy?
A: Yes you can still benefit from VMploy without a Web Cam.
We do however encourage our members to invest in a Web Cam. It is
a great way to get noticed because it shows that you want to be seen.
With a Web Cam you can also keep in touch with friends and contacts whether
they live nearby or around the world. Maybe you are a little shy,
that's ok. Get your friends to interview you on VMploy so you can
practice and improve your presentation skills.
Q: Where can I get a Web Cam?
A: Any place that sells computers will usually sell Web Cams.
Electronics stores and office supply stores almost always offer Web Cams.
We will also be suggesting some popular Web Cams that you can order through
VMploy at a discount. Our goal isn't to sell Web Cams but we
want to make it easy for you to get the best deal.
Q: How much does a Web Cam cost?
A: You can get a very good quality Web Cam for less than 50 US
dollars.
Q: What Web Cams work with VMploy?
A: VMploy is designed to work with any Web Cam. The
audio and video quality may vary depending on the Web Cam specifications.
Q: My Web Cam doesn't work. What should I do?
A: We recommend that you first contact the manufacturer of your
Web Cam to make sure that you installed the Web Cam correctly and that
the Web Cam isn't damaged. If you still have problems, you can also

Q: How do I create my Intro Video?
A: The easiest way to create your Intro Video is to use a Web
Cam. You can also use a digital camera since most now support video
recording. For complete details and tips on how to create your Intro

Library section of the VMploy

Q: Do I need to upload a Video Intro?
A: Members that upload a Video Intro have a much better chance
of being noticed. The Video Intro is a way to show everybody who
you are – that you are more than just words on a resume or advertisement.
You are an individual with a personality and want people to see that.
When you get an interview face to face you will know that there is already
a personality match. That's what traditional interviews are all about.
Is the chemistry there? It's not about being perfect it's about being
yourself so that you and a company make the best match where you both can

A: Members that upload at least one photo have a much better chance
of being noticed. It is always good to associate a face with a name
and it shows that you are more than just a text resume. You are the
person that is willing to stand behind your resume.

A: We allow members to upload up to 5 video files to their profiles.
Q: What is the largest size video that I can upload?
A: Videos have a maximum file size of 25 megabytes. This is generous
space to allow members to upload about a 5 minute high quality video intro
file.
Q: Do I need any software to upload videos?
A: No. You do not need additional software downloaded on your
computer to use VMploy. We use an integrated video player and video
chat system which was designed to be user friendly with any web browser.
Q: I can't Login. What do I do?
A: If you can't login, most likely you typed your e-mail or password
incorrectly. We suggest that you request a new password. To
do this click on the "Member Login"
link at the top right corner of any page on the website then click on the
"Forgot Password?" link.
Enter the e-mail you used to join the site and a new password will be sent
to you.
Q: How do I change my password?
A: To change your VMploy log in password, first log into your
account. Click on the 'My Settings' link just below the 'My
Account' heading. Once you click on the 'My Settings' link, scroll
to the bottom and you will see where you can assign a new password.
Q: What video formats can I upload to VMploy?
A: VMploy is able to accept the majority of video formats. If you have
trouble with your files we encourage you to use Windows Media Encoder to
create Windows Media formatted files that have an extension of ".wmv".
Q: How do I remove a video?
A: To remove one of your videos, select "My Account" at the top of any
page then click on the "Upload Video Intro" option. Check the videos you
want to delete and click the "X" button to remove the selected videos.

A: To remove one of your photos, select "My Account" at the top of any
page then click on the "Upload Photos" option. Check the videos you want
to delete and click the "X" button to remove the selected videos.
Q: How do I invite friends to VMploy?
A: In order to invite a friend to join VMploy, please use the 'Invite
a friend' link found at the top of any page on the website.
Q: What capturing software do you recommend?
A: There are series of software that can be used for capturing. Some
of them are supplied by video camera manufacturers. Of course,
it is always better to use software made especially for your type of camera,
although we recommend that the beginners use VirtualDub software to compress
the video if there's no capturing software supplied by manufacturer.
The program is easy to download and install, and you don't need to
spend much time adjusting it.

Q: Does VMploy obey the copyright laws?
A: Absolutely. VMploy respects the rights of copyright holders
and publishers. We only accept videos from members whom hold all
necessary rights to the content. VMploy's policy is to take action
on any notices of alleged infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium
Copyright Act (DMCA). If we receive a notice or have reason to believe
that content you submitted infringes on a copyright, your account may be
suspended until further review.
Q: I'm already a member of other traditional resume and job
posting sites. Can I link to my profile on VMploy to let everybody
know that I'm VMployable?
A: Yes we encourage this. It sets you apart from the other
members on the traditional resume and job posting sites. We also
encourage you to ask the traditional resume and job posting sites where
you are a member to make VMploy a searchable feature. In this
way recruiters that search traditional job and resume posting sites can
find you faster. After all you are also a VMploy community candidate
that is ready to network and be seen or interviewed online. You are
